SM RSS Reader
Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 31, 2026

SM RSS Reader has no advertising, no behavioral tracking, and no SM RSS Reader account. The app is designed to keep your reading activity on your devices and, when you choose to enable iCloud Sync, within your Apple iCloud account.

01

No advertising or tracking

SM RSS Reader does not contain an advertising system and is not designed to build advertising or behavioral profiles about its users.

02

No SM RSS Reader account

You do not need to create an account with SM RSS Reader to use the app.

03

Feed requests

Your device connects directly to feed publishers to download RSS/Atom feeds and article resources. Those publishers and their network providers may receive ordinary technical information associated with a network request, such as your IP address.

04

Article images and remote content

When Article Images are enabled, the app may request images hosted by publishers or other content providers. Those servers may receive the ordinary technical information associated with those requests. Those third-party servers have their own privacy practices.

05

Local storage

Articles, downloaded content, search data, caches, refresh history, and other device-specific information are stored locally on your device.

06

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud Sync, SM RSS Reader uses Apple’s iCloud services to synchronize supported information, including feed and folder structure, read/starred status, and selected reading preferences. Article inventory, downloaded article content, images, feed refresh results, and most device-specific settings are not synchronized as part of this mechanism. Each device refreshes feeds and downloads articles independently. The iCloud Sync switch is enabled independently on each device.

07

No sale of personal information

SM RSS Reader does not sell your personal information.

08

Data retention and deletion

SM RSS Reader stores article data, caches, search data, refresh history, restore points, and other device-specific information locally on your devices. Some local data is automatically bounded, including restore points, refresh history, cached favicons, cached article images, and pending share requests.

Deleting a feed or folder removes the associated local records and, when iCloud Sync is enabled, queues corresponding deletion changes for synchronization where supported.

Turning off iCloud Sync stops further synchronization but does not automatically delete information already stored in your private iCloud database. Deleting the app removes its local app data but does not necessarily delete private iCloud data.

If you want to stop synchronization, disable iCloud Sync on each device. If you have questions about removing synchronized data from iCloud, contact:

The owner of SM RSS Reader has not added Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, marketing cookies, or third-party tracking scripts to this website. The hosting provider may process limited technical information needed to deliver, secure, and operate the site.
